The traditional San Roque Festival returns to Playa de Santiago from August 10 to 16, 2026, with a week packed with cultural, sporting, religious, and festive events. The program includes creative workshops, water activities, inflatable attractions, Noche en Blanco, a soccer tournament, a craft market, concerts, community dances, and the traditional San Roque Pilgrimage to Tapahuga.
The highlight of the festivities is the San Roque maritime procession on August 14, followed by a Mass in his honor and a large public dance. The celebrations will conclude on August 16 with the Romería and a big party in Tapahuga. This is a must-see event of the summer on La Gomera, enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
