Through this site, I want to create a participative and accessible space, where everyone can share their initiatives and discover all that La Gomera has to offer. Whether you want to organize a stay, find local events or simply explore the island’s culture, Gomera Vida is there to centralize all this information.
Who am I?
Having settled in La Gomera a year and a half ago, I’m gradually developing a personal project based on the land and living things.
The land evolves step by step, taking into account the climate, relief and specific constraints of the place.
The project takes place on land that has not been cultivated for several decades.
It consists of planting trees, introducing aromatic plants and organizing the space to encourage the gradual creation of a microclimate, by planting species adapted to each area of the land.
One of the central themes of the project is coping with limited resources, particularly water.
As the land is not connected to the mains, the only water available is rainwater, which is used in a rational way, with the aim of developing resilient plantations adapted to these conditions.
