The workshop of identification of marine species of the Canary Islands, is designed to make known the treasures that hide our seabed and especially its fauna.
The talks will be given by two great underwater photographers, current underwater photography world champions.
The event is organized by the Hupalupa Diving Club with the collaboration of the City Council of San Sebastian de la Gomera and the Cabildo de la Gomera.
The workshop will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the presentation of all participants and the signing of the authorization and responsibility documents for the activity.
Note (All minors must be accompanied by their parents to sign the authorization).
The workshop has a theoretical part of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and a practical part of approximately 2 hours.
In the theoretical part, basic knowledge of the marine ecosystems of the Canary Islands and the fauna that inhabits them will be taught.
In its practical part, there will be a boat trip to a beach near San Sebastian beach where we will put into practice all the knowledge acquired, looking for the species studied in theory.
The organization will provide snorkeling equipment for the participants.
The equipment for the activity consists of goggles, snorkel and lycra.
Any person who already has the material may use it.
It is recommended to bring:
